This leather handbag is one of our bestsellers and an icon of Haku. The Wander Bucket Bag is very practical and versatile, suitable for both elegant and casual looks. Made from vegetable-tanned leather, it has a spacious main compartment that closes by pulling two leather drawstrings. Inside, there’s a small pocket. Its two straps, one made of leather links and the other hand-woven on a loom, make this bag a unique piece. The woven strap is adjustable, and both straps are removable, allowing you to choose how to wear it: crossbody or over the shoulder.

Care Instructions

Vegetable-tanned leather is very natural with an open structure. For this reason, avoid exposure to sunlight as it will slightly change its color. Avoid heavy rain, as this can create stains on the leather, and if it gets wet it's best to dry it in the shade. Minimize marks on the leather by avoiding rubbing the product against rough surfaces. Ink, grease, and oil stains usually don't come off, so you can either leave them and let time and use blend the stain, or you can take your Haku to a professional. Clean your leather item regularly with a dry or slightly damp cloth. It's very important to moisturize the leather with LEATHER CONDITIONER CREAM at least twice a year and ideally every 4 months to prolong the life of the products. Don't forget to store your Haku in a cool and dry place inside its 100% cotton bag to prevent mold.

The raw material of this article is top-grain vegetable-tanned bovine leather. This type of leather is the most natural due to the way it is tanned, using vegetable tannins. It is an organic material, free of chemicals and environmentally friendly. Vegetable tanning produces an extremely durable and high-quality leather. The highest quality leather does not hide its natural imperfections such as scars, stretch marks, and bites that make it unique and assure that the product is authentic animal leather. All our leather is Ecuadorian and processed in local tanneries, so we can trace this raw material.

Our artisans behind this product are Geovanny, Ricky, Plinio, Jose, Miguel and Jairo, who have over 30 years of experience in the art of leatherworking and are located in Quito and Ambato, Ecuador. They all work in their homes, in their small workshops, handcrafting each item from start to finish. They are the heart of our brand and our reason for being, because they allow us to preserve this art that is passed down from generation to generation.
